Two Changes At Half-Time Change Things For Fulham As Mitrovic Terrorises Watford Defence

|

After going in to the break trailing 1-0, Slavisa Jokanovic knew he had to change things to get anything out of this fixture against Watford

Jokanovic chose to make two changes, bringing on Ayite and Odoi, with Mawson and McDonald being withdrawn.

The change saw Fulham switch to 4-4-2 and worked wonders for Fulham who, after being dominated in the first-half, came more into the game.

The change also saw Aleksandar Mitrovic come more into the game and the Serbian centre-forward was to play a starring role.

To early second-half headers just cleared the bar but a deft flick, from a low cross from Vietto, saw Mitrovic get the equaliser and also become the joint top-scorer in the Premier League alongside Eden Hazard.

Things could have gotten better for the striker but a towering header from a cross, cannoned off the crossbar.

Following the final whistle, Mitrovic had this to say to Sky Sports:

“It was a tough game, we didn’t go into the game as we wanted. We made a mistake and they punished us.

“In the second half we pressed well, kept the ball, created a lots of chances, we could’ve scored more.

“That’s football, we get a point, better than nothing but looking forward to the next game.”

Sky Sports made Mitrovic the man-of-the-match, is it a decision you agree with?
