This afternoon, Fulham are a long way from home.
Claudio Ranieri and his squad are up at St James Park, in the north-east, looking to give their support some festive cheer by taking the three points on offer thereby giving Fulham only their third Premier League win of the season.
A win, fingers crossed, could see Fulham climb off the bottom of the Premier League table, thereby giving us all hope that the club can, somehow, retain their Premier League status for next season.
But it will be a hard task to take all three points against Rafael Benitez’s side.
After a poor start to the season, Newcastle United have improved in recent weeks and have climbed the table, the results they’ve achieved have boosted their fragile confidence and they are a different team to that which, like us, started the season so woefully.
With the kick-off fast approaching and St James starting to fill up, we are now able to bring you the team-sheets to mull over.
