Ranieri Linked With A Raid On His Previous Club This January

|

Once the January transfer window opens, it’ll certainly be interesting to see who Claudio Ranieri will decide to splash what cash he has available to him on.

Today, the inference in one news vehicle is that Claudio could be about to partake in a case of better the devil you know.

According to the news source, the Daily Mail, Ranieri could be set to swoop for a player who he knows well from his time at Leicester City, a period in which he guided the unfancied side to a Premier League title triumph.

The player our aforementioned source reckons could be coming to Craven Cottage is Danny Simpson.

Simpson, 31-years-of-age, is a defender and could go some way to eliminating the defensive lapses that have cost us dearly this season.

But, to be brutally honest, it is isn’t the kind of signing that brings an instant smile to my face, but, then again, we have to trust in Ranieri and get behind him.
