Is it all about the money?

Or is it about ambition?

Two intriguing questions when it comes to the future of our attacking full-back, Ryan Fredericks.

Continuing on from the recent speculation suggesting that Fredericks was bound for West Ham United, Click Here, another news source has come up with an interesting theory.

According to Football London, Fredericks has turned down a new deal at the club because it doesn’t match his wish to be the highest paid player at Fulham.

Now that got me thinking.

Is Fredericks under the illusion he is worthy of the status of being the highest-paid player at the club or is he well aware that the club won’t play ball, thereby allowing him to move on.

If that is the case then does it come down to ambition, does Fredericks believe he has more chance of success playing for West Ham United than he would have for Fulham?

Some would say that’s something that might be too close to call.

But, as the old saying goes, if a player doesn’t want to play for the club then get rid!

  • Ryan Fredericks is obviously moving for the money as i do not think he has anything to gain by joining west ham.We have a ready made replacement in Cyrus Christie and Fulham did not pay 4 million pounds for him to sit on the subs bench for ever.As for wanting to be fulhams highest paid player i think Ryan is abit behind cairney, ream and johannsonn.

  • Sad to see him go think maybe just wants the same as the top players like Cairney ete . I expect all done by agent who would want it to go throu so he makes money . On going to West Ham wants to be careful Culbertson run by dodge board and manager he does not know rent a stadium they having trouble with , when Fulham own there’s he’s loved by fans and rated by manager . Money can be only reason to leave wish him well always played well for us but who is the biggest club . And if it don’t work out there fans more toxic than ours and already unhappy with there board and who can blame them
