He’s no longer ‘our little secret’ anymore.
Although seeing as he’s been with us for over two years now, is still our record signing and was part of the infamous £100m team, it’s weird to think that he’d be anything of a ‘secret’ at all. But all of a sudden, it looks as if people are starting to pay attention to Fulham midfielder Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa.
With his recent performances for Fulham have inspired The Athletic’s Peter Rutzler to pen an article about his career so far, and it has got one or two Fulham fans a little bit nervous. Now that he’s getting more mainstream attention, there’s the chance that we might be losing him, and Rutzler’s comment on social media probably didn’t do too much to help calm those nerves:

I’ll admit, I haven’t been Anguissa’s biggest fan in the past, calling a him a flop when there was talk that he could be made available this past summer. But I will hold my hands up and say that I may have been a bit premature on that judgement as he has really come through for us in the early stages of the campaign, and been one of our better performers.
And whilst I do think that there is more to come from him, if he carries on the upward projection from where he was to where he is now and beyond, then we could be set for a very nice season from him, hopefully one that ends with us staying in the league.
Then we just have to worry about losing him to a ‘bigger side’, but we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.
