TV Pundit Predicts More Misery For Fulham This Monday Evening

|

On Monday evening, Fulham make the long trek to Yorkshire to take on Huddersfield Town, in a Premier League fixture.

Currently, both teams occupy places in the bottom three and there are fears both sides could be involved in a bleak, winter relegation battle.

For Fulham, it has been a bad start to life back in the Premier League with the ten games played so far yielding just the one win.

Many Fulham supporters view the game, this Monday evening, as a must-win affair.

If Fulham are to take the three points on offer then they have to stem the flow of goals they keep conceding, with no team in the Premier League conceding as much as us.

However, it is worth pointing out that our opposition, this Monday, have scored the fewest goals in the Premier League this season.

So, is it a game that Fulham will win?

One TV pundit believes it isn’t.

In his regular column, on the BBC, Mark Lawrenson is predicting that it’ll be Huddersfield who emerge the victors by a 2-1 score-line with the pundit remarking:

“On current form, this looks like it could be a game in the Championship next season – these two teams have managed one win from their combined 20 league games so far.

“Huddersfield have not scored a goal in any of their five home games this season either, but surely that has to change against a Fulham team with the worst defensive record in the Premier League?

“I actually think Huddersfield will win, but it is Fulham who have the better chance of staying up this season.

“The Cottagers have got goals in their team, but they have got to find a formation that lets them keep the back door closed too because, at the moment, that is not happening.”

Has Lawrenson gauged the outcome correctly?
