Laid up with a bug last week, my output on the site was severely curtailed.

One of the things that didn`t get covered was that of our young Italain striker, Marcello Trotta, going off on loan again.

Trotta, signed from Napoli in 2009, has joined the Championship side, Watford, on a one month loan deal.

Already this season, Trotta has attracted attention by proving himself to be something of a prolific goal scorer during a loan spell with Wycombe that saw him net eight times in eight games.

This latest loan spell, for one month, has been greeted enthusiastically by the19 year old who has been quoted on the local radio network as having remarked,

“I think now is the right time to come to a Championship club and play.”

“When you score, even at League One level, people start to know your name.”

“I want to test myself at a good level and maybe go back and play some first-team games.”

Naturally, we`ll be keeping a close eye on his progress.
