Jol`s Theory?

Image for Jol`s Theory?

Two games ago, Martin Jol identified the next four games as being games that could go a long way to defining how our season`s finish might shape up.

Two games into those four games; and with two victories under our belts, things are looking a lot brighter than a few weeks ago and we`re looking at a top half finish, yet again.

Speaking about the top 10, Martin Jol has come out with a few comments that slightly confused me, with the Dutchman remarking,

“We want to be in the top 10 because we were in the top 10 last year.”

“But don`t forget structurally to be in the top 10 is different. Last year we finished eighth but only because we won our last two away games.”

“Two years ago it was one away League win. So you can be in the top 10 – but structurally I want us to be a top 10 club.”

So is Jol pointing out that our league position will be entirely dependent on how many away victories we can cobble together or do you need a certain structure to be a top ten club?
