Report: Fulham one of many clubs to show ‘serious interest’ in 23 y/o German defender

|

Over the past few days I’ve been talking about moves that Fulham could and should be making in the January transfer window.

Now though, it appears as if there is some traction when it comes to us making some actual moves, with our first target on the board. According to American journalist Kristian Dyer, Fulham are one of a number of European clubs that are showing an interest in Philadelphia Union left-back Kai Wagner.

He notes that some clubs have already made offers for the 23-year-old German defender, and that there could be more on the way soon:

How much will Fulham spend this winter?

Less than £10m

More than £10m

I find it interesting that we seem to be focusing on bringing in yet another left-back, especially when the two left-backs we already have are arguably some of our better performers so far this season, with American defender Antonee Robinson in particular taking to the team very nicely.

Perhaps it’s going to be a case of one man in and one man out, with the other left-back and Wembley hero Joe Bryan reportedly a target for Premier League sides back in the summer, it’s not impossible that other clubs might be sniffing around him once again.

What about you? Do you think that the club needs to be investing in another left-back this upcoming window?
