Fulham v Sunderland – Four Worrying Statistics

|

As we continue to look ahead to the fixture against Sunderland, this evening, at Craven Cottage, here at Vital Fulham we’ve taken time out to look at how the game might pan out, against a side managed by Chris Coleman, somebody who played for and managed our fine club.

• Firstly, the record books show that Sunderland have the edge when it comes to getting a result against Fulham in recent encounters. The Black Cats have beaten Fulham in the last 3 encounters between the sides, in all competitions, at Craven Cottage. Furthermore, in those 3 games Fulham have conceded 10 goals.

• Secondly, the record books show that Fulham haven’t beaten Sunderland in any of the last 4 encounters, home and away, the last meeting between the two sides saw Fulham lose, 1-0, at the Stadium of Light earlier this season.

• Thirdly, although Sunderland were officially confirmed as relegated last weekend after losing to Burton Albion, at the Stadium of Light, they have not been beaten in their last 3 away fixtures, in the Championship, winning 1 and drawing 2.

• Fulham are currently on a club record run of 22 games unbeaten in the Championship, however, the last team to beat Fulham was, you’ve guessed it, Sunderland on 16 December 2017.

Now, those four statistics could give you something to worry about, but I’m not overly concerned, but how about you?
