After our disappointing Capital One Cup exit against Leicester City following on from our poor performance and defeat at Southampton, we need to get a result this weekend. Unfortunately for us we face Manchester United at Craven Cottage this weekend, a difficult fixture indeed.

Vital Quotes:

With two defeats inside a week and with a tricky fixture against Manchester United this weekend, Martin Jol is aware that a result is needed, otherwise (with Liverpool to follow next weekend) the outcome could be a gloomy one.

Talking about the situation, Jol has told the media,

‘Tomorrow is a big game for us and if we can get a good result then the world will look different.’

But if we don`t??????????..

Fulham Team News:

Martin Jol has two injuries to mull over, both Brede Hangeland and Higo Rodallega are ruled out.

The squad named for the fixture is as thus:-

Stekelenberg, Stockdale, Riether, Hughes, Senderos, Amorebieta, Hughes, Zverotic, Richardson, Riise, Sidwell, Boateng, Karagounis, Parker, Kacaniklic, Ruiz, Dejagah, David, Kasami, Bent, Taarabt, Berbatov.

Player to watch: Sasha Riether

Recently described as the best right-back in the Premier League and who am I to argue?

United Team News:

David Moyes has the one injury affecting his squad with Danny Welbeck set to be ruled out.

The make-up of the starting eleven could be defined by the fact that United have a Champions League match to follow this one.

Player to watch: Robin van Persie

A top-class striker who will, given the chance, cause Fulham problems.

Match Facts & Stats

We go into this fixture not having beaten United in any of the six previous meetings, in all competitions.

As far as Premier League meetings go, we`ve managed to win just three out of the twenty-four played.

Match Prediction:

You should never give up hope but looking at our poor record against United and the fact we`ll be missing Hangeland, it`s a tall order to expect a win, can we get a draw anyone?

Next Fixtures:

Our next fixture will see us travel to Anfield to take on Liverpool next weekend.
