Today was supposed to be an enjoyable one.
After a woeful Premier League campaign, the FA Cup was supposed to be a competition we could do well in, especially as we’d been drawn against the League Two side, Oldham Athletic.
But our lot couldn’t even do that right!
Instead, they slipped to a 2-1 defeat against a side who are 59 places beneath them in the league standings.
It’s a defeat that has probably damaged our hopes of rescuing anything from this wretched season and, not surprisingly, those who hold Fulham close to their hearts have reacted angrily on social media.
Here at Vital Fulham, we could have listed dozens upon dozens of posts illustrating the point, instead we’ve selected just a sample:

Hahahahahaha oh my god we’re the worst. Squad is not good enough. We’ve got maybe 6 or 7 players who are premier league quality and the rest are a mix of championship and not even that good.

Emotions can run high in the aftermath of such a bruising defeat, but to be brutally honest, our once proud club is, despite the high of that Wembley win giving us promotion back to the top flight, in a mess.
Just where will it all end?
