It`s a story that has had more than its fair share of coverage but has it taken another twist?

Martin Jol, speaking ahead of our clash with Manchester United tonight has rubbished rumours that a potential rift with Bobby Zamora is disrupting things, remarking,

“I don`t know what they are on about. There is no rift, Bobby is Bobby.”

“He was fine yesterday, he trained with all the other players who didn`t start against Bolton.”

“Those 14 did a session and he was fine.”

“We always train with a rest group – those who were not involved in the previous match – and it was not with the reserve team coaches.”

And as for coping with the continual gossip about a move away for Zamora, Jol had the following retort,

“For me it`s not a big problem. I`m only concerned that this sort of thing is coming up all the time.”

“I have a feeling that it`ll be something that crops up on a regular basis until either Bobby departs or the January transfer window slams shut.
