As we prepare to face Newcastle united tonight, Martin Jol has admitted that their star striker Papiss Cisse could be wearing our colours instead of the black and white stripes.

Speaking about the striker, Jol admitted to the media,

“He was always on my list. I can`t lie so I have to say yes. He made the choice for Newcastle and that was it.”

“Of course we`ve got very good players.”

“Three of four last year were too expensive or stayed and he was one of them.”

“He was top scorer in Germany and played for the biggest club. It`s always a little gamble, as you know. But he came here and he scored some goals for Newcastle. But that`s a fact of life.”

With Berbatov it will be the same – Wenger said the other day he didn`t know that he was on the transfer list.”

“So there will be other clubs thinking: Oh, we could have had him`. That will always happen.”

Anyone else think, despite Cisse`s spectacular goals, we got the better of the deals that took place?
