The 1-1 draw, at Stamford Bridge, put a swagger back in my step as walked home from Stamford Bridge to my abode in Hammersmith yesterday afternoon.
Having been hammered by Manchester united, 5-0, the other night; I too shared Martin Jol`s optimism that it is a step forward, with Jol commenting afterwards,
“We had a good result against Liverpool, a good result at the Emirates. You can`t say we are inconsistent – it was just against United that we didn`t have a good result.”
“We`ve shown we can give all these teams a good game.”
We can, but why oh why were we so awful against United?
