It would seem that Fulham, through Martin Jol, are keen to tie two of our older generation to Craven Cottage.

Steve Sidwell (30) and Damien Duff (34) are both in the final year of their current contracts and Jol, with Sidwell being the subject of interest from other clubs, does not want to run the risk of losing the player, remarking to the media,

“We are talking to Steve about extending and we think he wants to stay here.”

And as for extending Duff`s four year stay, Jol remarked,

“Damien is a true professional and we will give him an extension if he can play on”

What`s the verdict then?

A good move or a bad move?

Your thoughts would be most welcome.
