After our performance last night, we`re kind of left in a no-mans land.

Earning a 0-0 draw is a decent enough result and the temptation is there to start celebrating the possibility of our first European Final appearance. But, one away goal could spell disaster could it not.

After the game, chatting with the media, (Sir) Roy Hodgson was very quick to put down any suggestion that the hard work was done when he remarked,

“It`s worse than dangerous. It`s downright foolish.”

“This is half time in the match. There is another half to play. Another 90-minute half to play. I don`t think many people leave the stadium at half-time or go for a cup of tea thinking ‘right, this game is won`. There`s a lot of football to be played.”

“Hamburg have some very good players. They are a top team and will be determined as we were today to give a good account of themselves at Craven Cottage.”

“Everything depends on which team can produce the best performance in the second leg.”

“Today we negated the best of Hamburg`s play.”

“It`s possible they will negate our play at Craven Cottage and if they score then the advantage passes to the, So the game is open but I`m delighted it`s easy to put yourself out of contention in the first leg.”

All in all it promises to be a fascinating night down at Craven Cottage next Thursday!
