Fulham Looking At Spanish Keeper To Replace Button

|

With David Button having left Craven Cottage, to join Brighton and Hove Albion, Fulham are looking to recruit a goalkeeper who can provide Marcus Bettinelli with some competition for the green jersey.

The good folk of Sky Sports, are reporting that just such an entity has been located.

According to our referenced source, Fulham are close to doing a deal for the Spanish keeper Fabri.

Fabricio Ramirez, to give him his full name, is currently on the books of the Turkish side Besiktas and could be available for a fee in the region of £5 million.

Although Fabri is now 30-years-of-age, in his youth he played for the Spanish U20 side and during his career, he has played for the likes of – Deportivo La Coruna, Valladolid and Real Betis, joining Besiktas in 2016.

Last season, in assisting Besiktas to finish in fourth place in the Turkish League, Fabri kept 12 clean sheets.

To us, here at Vital Fulham, he looks to be the perfect acquisition, he’s experienced, he’s not too expensive and he appears to be more than capable of not only providing competition for Marcus Bettinelli but also stepping in for our young keeper when the need arises.
