Despite many supporters of other clubs expressing their admiration at the fact that, come Sunday evening, there is every chance Fulham will have qualified for the Europa League next season, there are a few who seem to think luck has come into it, that Fulham have just had the good fortune to capitalize on others misfortune.

Total trash off course and such comment shave brought a swift response from our Aussie keeper Mark Schwarzer, who has quite rightly commented on Radio London,

‘We’re in this position on merit. It’s not there through luck after 37 games.’

‘It’s been the tremendous performances throughout the season that have got us in the position we’re in now.’

Exactly, I think the term is jealousy don`t you?

  • I don’t think anyone has said you haven’t deserved it. Where did he get that from?

  • Not sure to whom he was referring. He made the comments to BBC London 94.9. Regardless, I don’t think “luck” and “Fulham” go in the same sentence. We have to earn everything we get.

  • I was just saying because I’m a spurs fan and everyone I’ve spoke to from any of the chasing clubs have been very quick to lavish praise on Fulham, and Roy Hodgson in particular. So I’m a little confused where it came from. Possibly the media trying to fill some more column inches, wouldn’t be the first time

  • possibly but there’s been no luck about it although a few more goals away from home would have been nice!
