Is it a done deal?

The Daily Mirror certainly thinks so publishing an article this morning that has the distinct inference that Martin Jol will be the next manager of Fulham Football Club!

Only on Friday (yesterday) the news broke that Jol was a leading candidate and that Fulham would announce an appointment by Monday.

According to the Daily Mirror, Jol feels he has unfinished business in the Premier League after twice steering Spurs to fifth place and still has a home in the capital.

Sat behind this keyboard I sincerely hope the Daily Mirror has got its facts right because of all the contenders I reckon Jol is the best, don`t you!

  • if true this sounds good priemership experence could see a few more ex spurs players seem to do well for us

  • head and shoulders above other candidates and seems to suit Fulham better than the others. Please let it be true!

  • I love Martin Jol, Martin Jol loves me, I love Martin Jol, Martin Jol loves me la la la la

Singing, I love Martin Jol gonna lead the boys into Europe, I love Martin Jol, gonna lead the boys to Wembley (to the tune or Rock n Roll)

There are some songs that you guys can sing if he comes. As a Spurs fan would be great to see BMJ back in the PL

  • he would be great 4 fulham and the premier league, big martin jol is a great manager and a true gent.hope you get him & best of luck 4 the new season ahead.

  • ESPN is reporting that it IS a done deal, with only a compensation figure to Ajax to be finalized.

  • OH please let it be true….i guess thats why sidwell is to sign, if the rumours are true….

  • I am not sure why he would sign for us.

He has a chance to play champions league and win the league with Ajax. I am pretty sure he won’t get too much more money with us either.

  • I think big mo is going for it martin must have been given some asurences ajax not giveing him totel control fulham will me thinks looks good

  • a good reaction from spurs fans is encouraging, and while i understood spurs getting rid of jol at the time, i knew they shouldn’t because he was quality…

  • Martin Jol would be a superb replacement for the mighty Roy! Hope it happens but I do wonder why Jol would leave Champions League possibilities with Ajax for Fulham?
