After a comfortable win in midweek, at Brentford, our pre-season campaign stuttered slightly today with a 1-1 draw away to Bournemouth.

With Ray Lewington still in temporary charge, as rumours gather pace that Martin Jol is our man, it needed a dubious strike from Bobby Zamora to get us a share of the spoils after a superb strike from Anton Robinson had given Bournemouth the lead.

The Bournemouth opener came with little more than ten minutes on the clock when he collected the ball on the edge of the area and beat David Stockdale all ends up.

Fulham`s equaliser came midway through the first half when the home side thought Zamora had fouled Jalal but the referee, Roger East, saw nothing wrong with the challenge and Zamora was able to roll the ball into an empty net.

As the half came to a close the Bournemouth keeper, Jalal, did well to keep out efforts from Gera and Zamora as Fulham looked to go into the break leading.

The second half saw both sides go close without grabbing the win although it`ll probably be Bournemouth who thought they been robbed when Baird did exceptionally well to clear a Nelson header off the line.

Eddie Johnson, on as a second half substitute came close to netting the winner for Fulham but Jalal capped a fine display with a good save.
