I can`t be the only person who whenever the press discuss a Premier League fixture involving Fulham gets hacked off at the mere mention of the Europa League.

It`s almost as if it`s becoming a necessity to add to the argument that the general consensus is that it is handicapping our Premier League performances.

The latest Fulham player to bite back is Jonathan Greening who, regarding the accusation, has, on the eve of the Blackburn fixture, commented,

“It is not a distraction, it is enjoyable. We have had some great displays in that competition, but just not had the luck.”

You tell them mate, I don`t hear Liverpool Football Club carping on about Europa League participation now it`s being quoted as a possible season salvation for them, do you?
