Fulham Could Benefit If Cahill Leaves Chelsea For Crystal Palace

|

Previously, we’ve covered how Fulham were interested in bringing the out-of-favour Chelsea defender, Gary Cahill, to Craven Cottage.

Our article, Click Here, covered the fact that the former England international wasn’t too sure about dropping into a squad that faces a relegation fight.

Today, the rumour mill suggests that Cahill could play a part in Fulham adding a central defender to their squad.

If the tabloid publication, the Sun, has its facts correct, then Gary Cahill could be set to join our London rivals, Crystal Palace, on loan.

If that is the case, his arrival could have a knock-on effect with Crystal Palace allowing their 31-year-old centre-back, Scott Dann, to join Fulham.

Unfortunately, there could be a major obstacle about to derail that plan.

The news source, the Mirror, is reporting that Arsenal, due to an ever-growing injury list, could also be ready to make a move to take 33-year-old Cahill on loan.

Here at Vital Fulham, we’ve got our fingers crossed that Chelsea and Palace agree on a deal and that Scott Dann, a decent defender, can play his part in trying to ensure Fulham retain their Premier League status for next season.
