Back in January, when the transfer window was open, the Fulham faithful were looking for some inspirational moves from those who control transfers at Craven Cottage.
With the side struggling in their first season back in the top-flight, the hope was that the club would seize the moment and bring in some players who could give us hope that relegation could be avoided.
As it turned out we were to be disappointed with the hierarchy bringing in two players, best described as journeymen, to try and stave off the inevitable.
The duo in question were Ryan Babel and Lazar Markovic, both of whom were given contracts that would expire at the end of this season.
Out of the two, it’s fair to say Babel was the better of the two signings with the Dutchman at least getting regular appearances.
However, according to the news vehicle, Sky Sports, both will have on their CV, just a short spell at Craven Cottage with it being confirmed by the club that both will leave upon the expiration of their current deals.
