Speculation, in the Sunday press, intimates that Fulham Football Club are keen to recruit Max Clayton from Crewe Alexandra.
It appears that Martin Jol wanted to sign the striker in the summer transfer window but Crewe were not too impressed when Fulham only offered a £50,000 down payment.
Unfortunately, Clayton has seen his career stall with Crewe leaving the player out of their side as the contretemps continues to bubble along!
