It`s been another good week, recognition wise, for the players of Fulham Football Club!

After our fine 1-0 win up in ‘Geordieland`, three players have been recognised by the tabloids and placed in their teams of the week.

But, with every pundit entitled to their own opinion, we find that Mark Schwarzer and Aaron Hughes put in performances of such a calibre that they made the Daily Mirror starting eleven but not that of the Sun whilstDanny Murphy made the starting eleven for The Sun but wasn`t considered good enough by the other aforementioned tabloid.

There again, if everyone had the same opinion it`d be a boring old life wouldn`t it?

  • I give Hodgson 90% of the overall credit, and I know Hangeland is our most prominent player in terms of league opinion, but is there any doubt that Schwarzer and, to a some what lesser extent, Murphy are most directly responsible for our success this season. Schwarzer is my vote for Fulham POTY!

  • Once the season is over we’ll elect our own player of the season through the poll facility!

  • The players mentioned are prominent and getting a lot of attention, but I think that our midfield has become a lot more dynamic and dominant; winning and holding the ball better and distributing it far more effectively than before the turn of the year. Murphy has found a new lease of life and has to be considered.

  • Murphy, Hangeland, Schwarzer or Dempsey – cant choose em all, but theyd all get honorable mentions. Douce has come on leaps and bounds this season, full credit to the lad who probably thought his fulham days were numbered with the aquisition of Gera

  • aye, he’s seems like a fiery lad and the competition has seemed to do him good. to be honest, i also doubt he respected sanchez much and didn’t really learn from him, whereas i’m sure he’s learning from roy, as they all are (and have shown!)

  • You can’t forget Etuhu he has come on as well and thanks to him Murphy can get forward and be more of a play maker. I think it all comes down to Roy at the end of the day. He is very good at getting the most out of players and also improving them as well. With that in mind what do poeple think about a cheeky punt for Malbranque, he was a good player for us before and with Roy here would probably get better.

  • I sit on the fence here, he left us a while back in search for more money… But he is a pretty decent player who pegs up a lot of assists… Let Roy decide!
