“Challenge now for Parker”: Fulham correspondent lays out the next steps after Lookman incident

|

I don’t think it’s quite possible to sum up the situation better than this.

It just goes to show what a tough job Scott Parker has on his hands, something I discussed earlier today.

The major talking point coming out of Fulham’s 1-0 loss to West Ham United at the weekend is without a doubt the last kick of the game when Ademola Lookman tried to be cheeky with his penalty kick, only to see it roll into the grateful arms of Łukasz Fabiański in one of the more bizarre and frustrating moments as a Fulham fan.

And taking to Twitter after the game, Fulham’s correspondent at The Athletic Peter Rutzler summed up the situation discussing both sides of the fallout:

Would you drop Lookman for what he did?

Yes

No

The fact that we now go into an international break kind of adds to the intrigue in what’s going on, because we’re going to have to wait even longer to see the next course of action, whether or not Lookman gets dropped for instance.

It also means that Lookman is going to have more time to think about what he’s done, and work on putting things right, as he promised to do after the game.

What about you? What do you make of the situation? Would you drop Lookman for the next game?
