Surprised that Bobby Zamora was only on the substitutes` bench yesterday, so were we!
However, there was a logical explanation.
It transpires that Bobby hurt his back in training and the management felt that it wasn`t worth the risk to play him from the start with Mark Hughes explaining,
“We felt it was important to protect him and use him only as an impact player, coming on as sub, which he did well enough.”
Well that`s that problem solved then.
