Earlier this week we reported that Fulham were one of a few clubs in the hunt for a youngster currently on the books of Plymouth Argyle.
Jack Stephens was the lads name and the prospect of him coming to Craven Cottage looked good with cash-strapped Plymouth having, reportedly, agreed an up-front fee.
However, the deal now appears dead in the water with Stephens having told Plymouth he doesn`t want to move and wants to stay with the ailing club to learn his trade.
Whilst a little miffed that this one appears to have gotten away, we have to admire his stand and we`d like to wish him well!
