A striker is top of Hodgson’s priorities, following the departure of Brian McBride, and Kitson is now heading the wanted list.
I have always rated Kitson, ever since the days I saw him play for Cambridge United. He has been a constant goal scorer (54 goals in 135 apps. 12 of those in Readings 2 seasons in the premiership, however in the first season he made less than 10 apps due to an openinng day injury and he finshed the season with 2 goals) and does carry the ‘target man’ tag.
