A few facts and figures to get your head around!

As we look forward to the second competitive game of the 2015 / 2016 season, this time a Capital One Cup first round tie against Wycombe Wanderers, we`ve tried to delve into the record books to come up with a few facts and figures for you to mull over.

Here is what we`ve come up with!

1 – The last time Fulham met Wycombe Wanderers in a competitive fixture was way back in September 2006. That fixture was also a League Cup tie and our hosts tonight emerged 2-1 winners.

2 – Fulham are strangers to participating in this competition in the first round. Our status as a Premier League club normally saw us enter the competition in the second round. In fact our participation in the first round tonight is our first since way back in the 2000 / 2001 season.

3 – Our hosts tonight, Wycombe, have an awful record when it comes to the first round of the League Cup, having lost seven of their last eight first round ties, the only exception being in 2011 / 2012 when they bat Colchester United.

4 – We can probably expect some goals tonight. The record books show that in the last six League Cup games Fulham have bene involve din there have been 25 goals scored, an average of 4.2 goals per game.
