West Ham United are the visitors to Craven Cottage this afternoon, for a Premier League fixture.
With 16 games played Fulham are rooted to the foot of the table, having lost 11, drawn 2 and won just 2, accumulating 8 points from the 48 available.
Today, with Christmas on the horizon, the Fulham faithful are hoping that win number 3 is forthcoming, something of an early festive present.
With West Ham being a side who appear to have just as many ups as downs, a win is a feasible option, it is also a result the BBC, pundit, Mark Lawrenson believes is possible, tipping the Cottagers to win 2-1, with the former Liverpool and Republic of Ireland defender reasoning:
“Ranieri has fared rather better at Craven Cottage since taking charge, however, taking four points from two games so far.
“West Ham will arrive on the back of a run of three straight wins and they are a team that can suffer a hiccup from time to time – and it would not surprise me if Fulham find a way of winning this one.”
Let’s hoping Lawrenson and his crystal ball have got this one spot on.
