Whetting the Appetite!

As kick-off, in our away fixture to Swansea, draws nearer, Martin Jol has a few words to say about his midfield today and also about our opponents.

Wary that Danny Murphy might not be able to shrug off his ankle injury, Jol has spoken about Murphy`s influence but also the blossoming Dickson Etuhu, remarking,

“Danny is the link up man for us. He is always involved.”

“I think we played one game without him against a lesser team in Europe – against Runavik, maybe – but to play without Danny in the league, I don`t know.”

“But Dickson Etuhu is getting better and in the last two or three games he was probably one of the best. As a squad we have to deal with it – and we will.”

And as for a Swansea led by Brendan Rodgers,

“Swansea are a good attacking team. They play a similar style to Blackpool – but they won` necessarily go the same way.”

“They have some very good players. But it comes down to the same thing. If you get injuries or suspensions, can they carry on the same way?”

Hopefully that has whetted your appetite ahead of the clash!
