Parking in London has always been a nightmare.
In fact London, since the introduction of the congestion charge appears to be a definite no-no for motorists.
But, if you reside in the city you have to deal with the pit-falls that are there for motorists, as our new manager, Martin Jol, found out to his cost.
Jol, having parked his car up, suffered the indignity of having it towed away, with Jol remarking to the media,
“We were in a nice hotel in Wimbledon. The only problem was they towed the car away.”
“Hans Segers, my new goalkeeping coach, told me he had lived there for 23 years and he said I could park there. But they towed it away and I had to go to the police. When we went to get it, the car was sitting in this park with no security. I could have lost all my gear.”
Not a very pleasurable experience although we`d imagine the fine imposed, £55, didn`t make too much of a dent in his wallet!
