Clint Dempsey might be conspicuous by his absence this afternoon, courtesy of an injury, but ahead of our clash with Spurs, at White Hart Lane, Martin Jol has had a few things to say about his star man.
Jol has re-iterated that he is going nowhere and that all the supposed interest in the free-scoring American hasn`t resulted in a single bid being made, or as Jol puts it,
“Clint will not go because if he does, then I will need 20 goals and that is not easy to find.”
“That is what I told Clint ad all the other people around him.”
“It is in our own hands, there have been no bids and even if there were, I don`t think we would sell.”
“It is hypothetical, there have been no bids for Clint over the last couple of years.”
Bu that`s not to say there will not be several flooding in soon!
