How disappointing was that?

Seconds from glory after the ten men of Fulham had come back from a goal down to lead 2-1 and then the home side get a dramatic equaliser.

Absolutely gutted!

Roy Hodgson gave Dikgacoi his first start and paired Kamara with Andrew Johnson up front with Etuhu and Zamora missing out, presumably through injury.

Fulham got off to a good start with Gera forcing an early save out of Green but just past the quarter of an hour mark went behind when Carlton Cole nodded home, fro inside the six yard box, a Diamanti free kick.

Our hosts could have doubled their lead shortly after when Tomkins missed a golden chance at the far post after Schwarzer had failed to cut out a Diamanti corner.

Andrew Johnson then missed a chance to level affairs when he slipped a great through ball from Danny Murphy wide. Kamara saw a shot saved by Green before Schwarzer smartly saved a shot from Parker.

Unfortunately, just before half time we were reduced to ten men when Dikgacoi received a straight red card, presumably for the hand in the face of an irritable Parker.

Down to ten men Hodgson introduced Baird in place of Johnson at half time and two minutes into the half we were level. Upson was punished for a lax challenge on Kamara and Murphy made no mistake with his spot kick.

Despite being a man light Fulham were looking good and Green did well to save form Kamara.

Amazingly, ten minutes later we were 2-1 up when a Konchesky corner saw Green flap and Gera netted, cue massed celebrations amongst the away support.

Sadly though, the dream of a second Premier League away win this season ended when, in injury time, Stanislas got that damned equaliser.

So near but so far and two weeks to ponder over it before our next Premier League game.
