“We sometimes lose sight”: Fulham boss adamant that better times are ahead for the Whites

|

Finally on the right track.

That appeared to be the message that Fulham boss Scott Parker was sending out when talking about the Whites’ victory at the King Power Stadium on Monday night. Whilst the results haven’t been there for Parker’s men, the displays have certainly been a lot more competitive than they were at the beginning of the campaign, and speaking after the game, Parker believes that this result could provide something of a springboard for the season:

Will we stay up?

Yes

No

I’ve hinted before that you can make the argument the first few games have been our ‘pre-season’ as we didn’t really get much true preparation time following the turnaround from the playoff final, and these past few games have been much better once players are back in their normal routine, and are getting familiar with each other.

Now given who our next two opponents are, I don’t think we should get too far ahead of ourselves and assume that we are going to ‘kick on’ and perhaps cause a massive shock like we did against Leicester City, but if we can come out of it bruised but alive, then we might put ourselves in a good place mentally to start thinking about pushing further up the table when the perceived ‘easier’ games come around.

What about you? Do you think the team is starting to turn a corner in recent weeks?
