It really is a topsy-turvy world we live in.
Take the case of Slavisa Jokanovic.
Back in May, the Serbian was instrumental in leading Fulham to the promised land of the Premier League, courtesy of the fine win against Aston Villa, in the Championship Play-Off Final.
Previously, in his career, Jokanovic had won promotion with Watford but was unable to lead out the Hornets in the Premier League after he was axed, following a dispute over a new contract.
But, back in August, Jokanovic realised his dream of being a Premier League manager and, with our near-neighbours Chelsea having axed Antonio Conte, was mentioned in dispatches as being a possible candidate for the vacancy at Stamford Bridge.
Sadly, fast forward 12 Premier League games and the dream, for Slavisa, has turned very sour.
A miserly five points, from the thirty-nine available, have seen Fulham slump to the foot of the Premier League table and as a result, Jokanovic has been axed.
