Watford salvaged a point at Vicarage Road after a late volly from Ashley Young was the final goal in an extraordinary climax to this game.

Marlon King’s first-half shot put the Hornets 1-0 up with Young making it 2-0 15 seconds into the restart of the second half.

Substitute Brian McBride pulled one back for Fulham in the 71st minute when former Watford forward Heidar Helguson headed Wayne Routledge’s cross into the U.S. striker’s path and he volleyed a well taken goal to put Fulham back into the game before Heidar Helguson the former Watford striker headed Fulham level with only 7 minutes remaining on the clock.

It being 2-2 so late on you could have been right to think that was the end but an own goal from Damian Francis saw Fulham go 3-2 up and surely that was the end but no, Young had other idea’s with a fine goal at the death to make the final score 3-3, a draw!

An exciting and entertaining game, Fulham did well to get a point and should of snatched all 3 points but a draw was a fair result after Watford panicked in the final 20 miutes as they thought that this would be their first win of the season.

Well played both teams.
