Volz extends contract.

Fulham’s Moritz Volz has signed an extension to his contract that will see him play at the Club until the summer of 2009.

Volz joined Fulham on a permanent contract from Arsenal for an undisclosed fee in January 2004, having spent a six month loan spell at the Cottage. The twenty three year-old German born defender, joined Arsenal from Schalke 04 in June 1999 and made his debut as a substitute in the Worthington Cup. A loan spell at Wimbledon followed, where he became a regular feature and he continues to be part of the German national team set-up.

Moritz Volz said:

I am very glad that I have now signed my extension with the Club. I am happy to be playing again and I am looking forward to the things that come now. Things are going well here and we want to progress as a team, and I believe the next couple of results are key in what we can hope to achieve this season.

‘We always look to improve our performances as a team and obviously for me, as an individual as well. So I`m glad I`m playing regularly again and I want to make sure I keep in the team, and that we do well.`
