Putney is next up for the Vital Fulham interview.

1 – How long have you been a Fulham fan and how did you get the bug?
Since my old man drummed it into me as a very young lad. He told me there were a few things he’d tolerate but not supporting Fulham wasn’t one of them!

2 – What was your first game?
Now you’re asking the impossible, this is a man who often can’t remember what he did yesterday let alone when he watched his first Fulham game.
One that springs to mind was against Swansea. I was stood up facing the wrong way, chatting to a few friends, when hordes of Swansea fans scaled the fence and poured in our direction from the old away terracing – many moons ago though!

3 – What is your most memorable moment as a Fulham fan?
Down at Fratton Park, deep down I thought we were down, I thought the fates had conspired to dump us in the Championship but that late goal changed everything – the original great escape!

4 – And the worst moment?
I’d have to say the realisation last year that after spending so much money Sanchez had changed the team into an outfit that was to put it mildly, not very good. I thought we were doomed, even though I preached otherwise all season!

5 – Who are your favourite current Fulham players?
Jimmy Bullard for his sheer enthusiasm, drive and that unique ability to pull something out of the bag.

6 – Which former player/s are your ultimate heroes?
George Best and Rodney Marsh! The ultimate entertainment duo! Did they really both grace us with their presence in those heady days? So sad when George passed away!

7 – Which player do you think was the worst to ever put on the team colours?
Chris Baird in recent times!

8 – What is the best goal you have seen Fulham score and which is your favourite game?
Danny Murphy in the last game of last season. It wasn’t the most spectacular but the importance of it, financially, cannot be underestimated. As for my favourite game, can you beat Portsmouth away for excitement, tension and drama?

9 – Best away ground visited?
The Emirates Stadium – Don’t tell the Gooners, but it is superb!

10 – Who would you like to see Fulham sign this summer?
Somebody unknown, an unknown gem that costs next to nothing and goes on to prove to be a real gem, someone who’ll score twenty goals in the Premier League and entertain us! Is there anyone out there!

11 – What are your predictions for us this season in the:
a) League: Halfway!
b)Carling Cup: Quarter-final!
c) Fa Cup: final!

12 – What is your opinion of Roy Hodgson?
I had my reservations when he took over but he’s won me over. I was worried about his lack of Premier League experience in recent years, especially when you consider how much the game has moved on. But he did the business, he took a while to get the team to play how he wanted but when he did, he pulled us back from the brink of Championship oblivion!

13 – What is your opinion of MAF?
I think he lost interest for a while, especially when Coleman seemed to be forced to sell better players than he could afford to recruit. But the cash he’s made available for first Sanchez and now Hodgson shows his ambition. Let’s hope the team can give him something extra special to smile about this season.

14 – Are you happy to stay at the Cottage or is it time to move on?
What a dilemma! The Cottage has so much history but it’s never going to be able to expand to match other grounds in London. But should we leave?
No! Not after we fought to get back here after squatting at Loftus Road!

15 – Where do you sit at the Cottage and are you a season ticket holder?
Sadly the shifts I do prevent me from attending every game so I tend to pick up tickets wherever I can.

16 – If you could invite 4 people connected to Fulham, living or dead, to a dinner party, who would they be?
As I covered in a separate article – George Best, Rodney Marsh, Bobby Moore and Jimmy Bullard.

Thanks to Putney for answering these questions.
