Donfulham is next up for the Vital Fulham interview.
1 – How long have you been a Fulham fan and how did you get the bug?
About 8 years. A work colleague and die hard Fulham fan brought me on a spare ticket to a cup game, fell in love with the place, the rest is history!
2 – What was your first game?
First game was that cup game. Actually can’t remember the opposition but we won 🙂
3 – What is your most memorable moment as a Fulham fan?
If I’d been lucky enough to be there I’d probably have said beating Man Utd at Old Trafford. But I wasn’t so I will have to go for a game where I was there. Portsmouth last season. A Pompey supporting friend of mine had a spare season ticket in the Pompey end so I had to sit there, surrounded by Pompey, with him reading out the scores as Reading and B’ham demolished their opponents. I was a nervous wreck… and then Murphy scored and I had to sit there quiet. But what an amazing day!
4 – And the worst moment?
moment? I’m struggling to think of a worst moment. I’d say losing to Chelsea in the semi final of the FA cup. That was annoying. Also in the same year, walking out of the WBA quarter final and stumbling onto a bunch of Baggies fans who wanted (for some bizzare reason) to murder a couple of Fulham fans. That was scary.
5 – Who are your favourite current Fulham players?
Got to be Simon Davies, the unsung hero of the squad. Plus Jimmy Bullard and Hangeland. I also like the look of Andreasen.
6 – Which former player/s are your ultimate heroes?
Brian McGod and Louis Saha. Its all been said before what a legend McGod is, but remember when Saha was on form guys? He destroyed opposition defences single handedly and was a joy to watch.
7 – Which player do you think was the worst to ever put on the team colours?
Everyone on this site knows my rather strong feelings about Steven Davis but you can add Ahmad Elrich to the mix, he was useless!
8 – What is the best goal you have seen Fulham score and which is your favourite game?
Easy… Jon Harley… have a look at it on YouTube if you don’t know what I’m talking about 🙂
9 – Best away ground visited?
I could tell you a bunch of them that I hate! I’d probably say the best one was Pompey again I loved the way it just appears suddenly out of residential streets like the Cottage does. The sea is nearby, the pubs are absolutely amazing.
10 – Who would you like to see Fulham sign this summer?
Cisse, that was one tabloid rumour I loved.
11 – What are your predictions for us this season in the:
a) League: I think 10th-12.
b)Carling Cup: we’ll be kicked out in the first round.
c) Fa Cup: we’ve been so poor in cups but I think we’re due a cup run so I’ll say quarter finals.
12 – What is your opinion of Roy Hodgson?
It I could write a book on RH. He is the man. Just look at how he reacted on the last day of the season. Walked calmly round the pitch shaking the hands of every Pompey player. Calm as you like. What a throughly decent bloke with the knowledge and skill as a manager that we’ve needed since the crazy decision to sack Tigana!
13 – What is your opinion of MAF?
constantly surprises me with his passion and the extent to which he’s willing to back us. He’s a legend.
14 – Are you happy to stay at the Cottage or is it time to move on?
You’re kidding? Cottage.
15 – Where do you sit at the Cottage and are you a season ticket holder?
Stevenage Road, Block B season ticket holder.
16 – If you could invite 4 people connected to Fulham, living or dead, to a dinner party, who would they be?
Roy Hodgson and Diddy Hamilton for their knowledge and to pick their brains. George Best for the ladies he’d bring with him and Bullard for the laughs.
