Yet another striker is reportedly amongst the Sanchez transfer targets!

Luke Moore, a promising youngster plying his trade at Villa Park has been mentioned in despatches after he expressed a desire to play regular first team football.

According to reports, Moore has refused a new contract offer at the Midlands club, forcing Villa to exercise a 12 month option they hold on him.

Moore`s progress was interrupted last year when the striker suffered a shoulder injury, it was an injury that was to keep him out of the first team for the majority of the season.

With John Carew having arrived and both Ashley Young and Gabriel Agbonlahor both in fine form, Moore has slipped out of the frame.

A bout of poor form when he has played has also not helped his chances with a meagre return of only one Premiership goal last season.

Moore is represented by the agent Steve Kutner and he had this to say about the current situation,

‘Luke rejected the contract because he feels he needs to move on. He needs to be playing first-team football at this stage of his career.

‘He is 21 now and has been very unlucky in the sense that he hurt his shoulder last season at the stage that he did when in the side.

‘Luke has already proved that he can do the business in the Premier League.’
It`s understood that if Fulham do pursue his signature we`ll face stiff competition from Birmingham City and Middlesbrough!
