Whilst one of our strike-force from last season, Moussa Dembele, has flourished at his new club, Celtic, the other, Ross McCormack, hasn`t has the best of times since joining Aston Villa last summer.

The 30-year-old, who cost Aston Villa a transfer fee said to be of the magnitude of £12 million, is, so the Telegraph informs us, up for sale.

Reports in the press last week, intimated that Steve Bruce has lost patience with the striker who has repeatedly missed training. The final straw coming when McCormack phoned in to say his security gates weren`t working and he couldn`t get out of his house.

Whilst the rest of the first team squad were given the day off on Monday, McCormack was ordered to train with the U23`s.

Aston Villa are hoping the Scottish international can be moved on before the transfer window shuts.

How about a return to Fulham Ross, somewhere where your assets were appreciated?
