Operation survival sees Fulham travel to Villa Park today for a fixture that we need to get something from if relegation is to be avoided.

But what chance do we have when you take the statistics into consideration?

Well we`ve unearthed a few facts for your perusal.

1 – Aston Villa have a definite edge over us, they are unbeaten in their last 14 home league games against us. Our last win at Villa Park was a 3-2 win in a Division 2 game back in March 1973.

2 – However, although we find earning a victory in the league hard at Villa Park, we did go there for a 4th round FA Cup tie and win 2-0, back in 1999.

3 – Games between the sides, in particular the last 5 meetings have proven tight with those 5 matches only producing

4 – When it comes to grinding out home wins this season, in the Premier League, Villa are almost as bad as us, Villa have lost 9 at home compared to our total of 11

5 – Recent form shows that Villa are struggling, the results from their last 8 games show 5 defeats, 1 draw and 2 wins.

6 – The form guide shows that we`re better in the first half than the second. Apparently Fulham have conceded 70% of their goals in the second half, the most in the Premier League whilst also conceding 33 goals in the final 15 minutes, once again the most of any of the sides in the Premier League.

7 – Fulham`s recent form outlines precisely why they are in relegation trouble, in the last 12matches they`ve won 1, lost 9 and drawn 2.
