United Boss Quashes Fulham’s And Our Hopes Of Signing Defender

|

Yesterday, as we grappled with speculation surrounding who Fulham might be bringing to Craven Cottage, to stave off the threat of relegation, we latched on to a piece of speculation relating to Antonio Valencia.

Our article Click Here, concentrated on the possibility that the Ecuadorian international, who is set to leave Manchester United in the summer, just might be allowed to leave a little earlier, like this transfer window.

Our article also went on to imply that the signing of Valencia would be extremely beneficial to the club, with his skill-set being just what was needed to help in pulling away from the relegation zone.

However, it appears the speculation was a little misplaced.

This morning, at his press conference ahead of the Premier League fixture with Burnley and according to the BBC, the Manchester United manager has put the kybosh on any of his squad leaving Old Trafford, remarking:

“At the moment I can see everyone staying.”

Which by our way of thinking, rules out any chances of Valencia moving to London from Old Trafford which, to us, is very disappointing news.
