Two Contrasting Moods!

In what turned out to be a delightful match and one in which we snatched an unlikely point at the death, there, as you`d suspect, were contrasting moods in the two camps.

Firstly, Martin Jol was grateful that his side pulled something out of the bag with that late equaliser, remarking to BBC Sport in the immediate aftermath,

‘You need a little bit of luck and we certainly got that. Everton could have scored a third goal and a fourth goal, but we never gave up. To come away from a bad day like today with a point is great. If you saw us play in this game, we’d be happy to finish in the first 10 this season.’

Whilst David Moyes looked as if he`d stared death in the face, commenting to the same source,

‘It feels like a defeat. We conceded a shocking goal to allow them to equalise at the end. We’re as sick as it gets.’

It can be an emotional game this game of ours, can`t it!
