After seeing Fulham crash to a Blackburn side that had been reduced to ten men for the majority of the match, am I the only one disappointed in the comment made by Martin Jol, below?
“You have to give Blackburn credit. Everything seemed to go against them, but they tried to break us down all the time. They had a lot of pace – we couldn`t stop them. This could give them a new lease of life.”
Instead of giving so much credit to the opposition, shouldn`t we be asking how a side with ten men managed to pop the ball around with such aplomb and cut huge swathes through our own eleven man side?
And as for giving them a new lease of life, I can`t help thinking that if our home form falters we`ll be in need of the kiss of life come the end of the season.
