Once again Fulham is slow on the old news front and rumours aren’t really a plenty so I thought I might bring up something that’s been bugging me for a while.

Yes I know that Lawrie ripped the spine from our squad and replaced it with ‘Guinness and Potatoes` but still he did do some things right.

For one he got the highest scoring player from the European Championship qualifiers for £3 million, and considering that Villa, Torres, Rooney, Owen, Ronaldo and Henry just to name a few, were all taking part that was pretty impressive, and it’s not Lawrie’s fault that Healy didn’t shine in the Premier League he only scored the first goal and then another 4 for Fulham that season.

Another was Aaron Hughes a defender with years of Premier League and international experience, a defender who has been great for us this year ‘in my opinion’ and who has great leadership qualities for just £1 million , a steal!

And finally Paul Konchesky one of our best and most consistent players last season someone who has given their all and asked for nothing back, someone who hasn’t been the aim of our chants or our praise but someone who has been a rock for us and will be for seasons to come hopefully.

So please next time you bad mouth Lawrie Sanchez please try to remember the good he did and not the near catastrophic bad he did to our beloved club

  • He was awesome as national manager for Northern Ireland, beat Spain, Sweden, Denmark. How come he was so poor at club level? That is a question I asked before our Scandinavian refugee Hodgson made a late save delivery than I never thought he would pull off. Better luck and position next season little brothers.

  • This article is making old donfulham’s blood boil again! I respect your opinion as always Backslash but NO, I cannot think of anything that idiot did as being good for Fulham. I will accept PK is a good player. But I thought the reason he was looking for a transfer away was because he didn’t get on with Curbishley? Healy has not proved himself at Premiership level and if he was so good why weren’t the Man Utd’s and Arsenal of this world taking him on? You don’t seriously think Healy only came to us because ‘the idiot’ was in charge? Davis is one of the worst midfielders I’ve seen play for Fulham, Seol is a joke… an absolute joke, Cook who the hell put him through his medical? Kamara, come on guys, please remember that throughout the season he was crap! He played well against Man City, and was then… crap! Murphy did well for us. Hughes was adequate, don’t even get me started on Baird! S*****z is an ‘idiot’ and did nothing good for Fulham apart from us being able to get RH in.
