As clubs go their merry-way in the close-season, Fulham supporters will be closely watching the changes that are happening at Craven Cottage as the club seeks to make a far better impact in the Championship this coming season.

Fulham have already been active in the transfer market this summer, already bringing in:-

? Jazz Richards

? Ben Pringle

? Jamie O`Hara

? Tom Cairney

and

? Andy Lonergan

But you get the impression there are more to come with the media suggesting Symons is interested in the Wolves midfielder Kevin McDonald.

But, if you`ve ever wondered how discussions are carried out with regards to comings and goings it appears they are done by a telephone conference call with a local media source recalling a call that took place, in Portugal, where Fulham are taking on Aston Villa this Saturday.

Apparently the call involved:-

? Kit Symons (manager)

? Shahid Khan (owner and chairman)

? Alistair Mackintosh (chief executive)

? Mike Rigg (chief football officer)

and

? Mark Lamping (director)

With Symons remarking about the conference call,

“We had a rundown on potential signings and anyone going out.

“It`s constant and regular communication. Everyone pulls together and sings off the same hymn sheet. Given the way things have been done, we`ve given ourselves every chance of being successful.’

Let`s all hope that is the case, we do not want a repeat of the angst of last season where relegation looked a distinct possibility ta one stage.
